She was predeceased by: her parents, Pate Bassett and Beatrice Bassett (Puett); her former husband Robert Louis Schupbach; her siblings, Robert Bassett and Barbara Ann; and her nephew Scott Bonacker.

She is survived by: her husband Judge Donald Bonacker of Rogersville; her daughters, Mary Teresa Schupbach Hedgpeth (John Frederick) of Ozark and Lisa Ann Schupbach Ness (Peter Jon) of West Linn; her grandchildren, Kathryn Michelle Baker (Ryan) of Ozark, Laurie Ann Fairbairn (Matt) of St. Louis, Abbie Elizabeth Hedgpeth of St. Louis, John Robert Hedgpeth of Ozark, Andrew Walker Ness of West Linn, Luke Wyatt Ness of West Linn, Leslie Deane Bonacker of Springfield, Mitchell Slattery of Maine, Peter Slattery of Springfield and Daniel Slattery of St. Louis; her great grandchildren, Jack Frederick Fairbairn of St. Louis, Reid Matthew Fairbairn of St. Louis and Olivia Grace Fairbairn of St. Louis; her daughter-in-law Deborah Bonacker of Springfield; her sister Nora Jean Barnard (Frank) of Green Forest, Arkansas; and her sisters-in-law, Marj Schupbach of Springfield and Janet Bassett of Crane.

“I was in Highland on Saturday & have thought hard about Mrs. Bonacker since. Mrs’ B always had my back, I was new a new Junior at Nixa. She loved my spunk and fire and I loved that in all 5’ (maybe 2”?) of her. So many of my favorite high school memories include Mrs. B. ❤️ She offered to “kick my ass” ’if I didn’t walk at graduation - “we didn’t come all of this way to not walk!” She retired that year. My sincerest condolences to His Honor, Mary & Lisa & the entire family. She was a special lady”
