He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Hewitt (Croney); his parents, Elmo Hewitt and Lorraine Hewitt (Bridwell); his daughter Jan; and his siblings, David, Dean, Neil, James Hewitt and Mary Ann Null.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim (Kalter); and his stepsons, Kevin and Scott Bowman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
