He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Moreland and Ima Moreland (Roam); his wife Josie Louise (Hayes); his siblings, George Moreland and Shirley Shannon; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Hayes, Johnny Roy, Wes Shannon and Wayne Spencer.

He is survived by: his children, Holly Catron (Gary), Sue Croft (Jim), Tim Moreland (Lydia), Harvey Moreland (Arlene) and Matt Moreland (Anita); his siblings, Wanda Roy, Barbara Spencer, Sarah Lewis (Jimmy), Joe Moreland (Sue) and Dave Moreland (Joyce); and his sister-in-law Charlotte Moreland. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
