He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorsie V. Sooter and Eunice Sooter (Riddle); his wife Dorothy Jean Sooter (Helton); and his siblings, Robert Sooter, Georgia Sooter Beydler and Eunice Esther Sooter.
He is survived by: his children, Janice Turner (Paul Turner) of Rolla and Luther Sooter of Rolla; his sister Barbara Wessner (John) of Rolla; his grandchildren, Carmen Turner Schott (Rick), Trevor Turner (Julie) and Dean Sooter; and his great grandchildren, Bella Schott, Tenley Turner, Lincoln Turner and Madden Turner.
