She was predeceased by : her father Wilbur "Buck" Nichols; her daughter Amy Weida (Powell); her grandparents, Birdie (Strain) and Charlie Nichols; and her siblings, Eugene "Bucky" Nichols (Irene), Edith Anderson Grusling and Judy Ferguson Uebinger.

She is survived by : her husband John Keith Powell of Rolla, MO; her daughters, Angie Powell of New Bloomfield, MO, Kathy Powell (Brian Lindenlaub) of Tucson, AZ and Kerry Goyette (Joe) of Columbia, MO; her son-in-law Chuck Weida; her grandchildren, Brittany Newman, Rachel Weida, Jordyn Gehlert, Kodi Gehlert, Bailey Goyette, Megan Goyette and Wesley Goyette; her great grandchildren, Orson Newman and Graham Goyette; and also Birdie Nichols. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
