He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Frakes and Sue Frakes (Hiner); and his grandparents, George, Mary Ruth Frakes, Hadley and Dolly Hiner.

He is survived by: his sons, Jason Frakes of Atchison, Kansas, Jonathan Frakes of Atchison, Kansas and Casey Frakes of Atchison, Kansas; his sister Jennifer Kiehl (Harry) of Atchison, Kansas; and his granddaughter Lilly Frakes of Pomona, Kansas. He is also survived by 2 nieces and a nephew.
