With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maynard Johnston of Rutledge, Missouri, who passed away on April 24, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Maynard farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Maynard is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Johnston and Verneta Bausell Johnston; and his siblings, Danny Johnston, Rose Marie Baker and Wanda Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Peterson; his children, Jessica Lambert of Springfield, Eric Johnston of Rutledge and Kyle Johnston of Rutledge, Missouri; and his granddaughter Reagan Lambert of Springfield, Missouri.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Memphis Funeral Home (378 S Market St, Memphis, MO 63555). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
