She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Sommer and Regine Sommer; her children, Cathy Breuer (Mike), Jeff Spilker (Kim), Julie Huber (Ralph), John Spilker (Kathryn) and Beth Richards (Doug); her grandchildren, Amanda, Leah, Nathaniel, Brandon, Caleb, Keziah, Darris, MaryBeth, Jennifer, Jessica, Jonathan, Olivia, Preston and Katie; and her great grandchildren, Abraham, Leela, Kavya, Christien, James, Elijah, Owen, Emma, Wesley, Sullivan, William, Tenley, Jett, Beckett, Ephraim, Phineas and Emery.

Memorials may be made in Carol's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
