She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Stan Kooman; her children, Talia Hammer (Mike), Benton Kooman (Melissa) and Corey Kooman (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Kaiden, Caroline, Brooke, Wilder, Kinzley, Holland and Faith Michele Hammer; her siblings, Chee Whitaker (Jane) and Cindy Whitaker; her siblings-in-law, Anna Flower Maki, Peter Kooman (Tracy), Elizabeth Livingston (Mark), Sarie Anderson (Paul) and Ingrid Phoenix (Kip); and her parents, Archie Whitaker and Clarice Whitaker.
In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage people to make memorial contributions to Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss, as this organization was instrumental in providing support to the family in the loss of Carrie's granddaughter, Faith.
