He was predeceased by: his wife Genevieve Van Booven; his parents, Hugo Booven and Caroline Van Booven; and his sisters, Alice Hildebrand and Dorothy Schroff.

He is survived by: his children, Phyllis Fischer (late Bill), Cathy Van Booven, Mike Van Booven (Betty) and Keith Van Booven (Julie); his grandchildren, Caroline Hubble, Steven Fischer, Ryan Van Booven, Jeff Van Booven, Kelly Walsh, Emily Chukwu, Natalie Van Booven and Kenneth Van Booven; his great grandchildren, Jackson, Reagan Hubble, Maggie, Katie Walsh and Naomi Chukwu; and his brother Jerome Van Booven (Alice).
