He was predeceased by: his parents, Irene Thornton and Oliver Thornton; his wife Cynthia L. Thornton; and his siblings, Arthur, Joseph (Paulette), Michael, Kathleen and Earl.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer McCullough (Brian), Heather Sharp (Darrin) and Daniel Thornton (Daina); his grandchildren, Makenzie, Alex Francis, Maddison Girardeau (Bowen), Haley, Daniel, Nicholas and McKenna Sharp; his siblings, Oliver Jr. (Luella), Geraldine Gousetis (late Richard), Thomas (Judith), Milldred Collins (Kirk), James (Glenna), Judith Necker (late James), Dorothy Donovan (late George Sr.), Edward (Marilyn), Mary Ellen Cahill (James), John, Patrick, Timothy (Kathleen) and David (Rebecca); and his godchildren, Thomas Thornton and Kirk Daniel Collins.
