He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Jean Storie; his parents, Elmo Storie and Opal Storie; and his brother Donald Storie. He is survived by: his children, Christine Roberts (Gary), Jennifer Storie (Billy Martin) and Jason Storie (Joanna); his grandchildren, Austin Martin, Emily Martin, Camryn Kiernan (Drew) and Britney Bartels; and his great grandchild Eleanor Storie.
His legacy of service continued even after his passing, as he chose to donate his body to Saint Louis University to further medical research following the care he received during and after his cancer diagnosis.
