She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sumpter and Elzilene Barton Sumpter; her husband Billy Campbell; her daughter Essie; and her siblings, Ogie Stricklin, Emmett Sumpter, Ovie Sumpter, James Sumpter, Thedford Sumpter, Retha Orrick and Freida Stallins.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Brewer, Holly Henderson, Denise Follis and Billy Campbell; her brother Columbus Sumpter; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Angel, Billy, Amy, Angie and Mark. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving family members and friends.
