He was predeceased by: his father Robert Sr. Newsom; his sister Kathy; and his daughter Marietta. He is survived by: his mother Judith Newsom; his sons, Garry Jr. and Christopher; his granddaughters, Jallah and Eva; his siblings, Melody, Cornelia and Robert Jr.; and his aunts, Gloria Pace, Dorothy Edwards and Erma Smith. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
