She was predeceased by: her father Willard Pickens. She is survived by: her mother Wilma Pickens; her siblings, Willard, Eileen and Joyce; and her husband George Rudy Essig.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (3866 Old Hwy 94 S, St Charles, MO 63304). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Zion Lutheran Church, in honor of Gloria's lifelong commitment to fellowship and service.
