He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Benson and Jessie Benson; and his siblings, Kenny Benson and Barbie Higgerson. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Ann Benson; his children, Michele Budde, James "Jimmy" Benson and Melissa Roedel; his grandchildren, Brittany (Blake), Brett, Kate, Sydney (Ethan), Jaidyn, Alivia and Calen; and his brother Michael Benson (Ruthie "Rudy"). He is also survived by his 5 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
