We are sad to announce that, on February 15, 2026, at the age of 84, Jane Julia Edwards of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer W. Sammelmann, and Bertha Sammelmann, Sr. (Auchly); and her siblings, Pat Hercules, Helen Cohen, Harold Sammelmann and Elmer Sammelmann, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband John Edwards of St. Charles, MO; her children, Michele Schaefer (Barry) of Herman, MO, Dawn Gibson of St. Charles, MO, Denise Rathbun (Steve) of St. Charles, MO and Carey Edwards (Sarah) of Wildwood, MO; her grandchildren, Chris Jaeger (Brooke), Shane Schaefer (Jenna), Brooke Schaefer (Cory Bokermann), Austin Rathbun, Carson Rathbun, Alexis Barilla, Emerson Edwards and Parker Edwards; her great grandchildren, Heidi Schaefer, Miles Jaeger, Quincy and Bridget Bokermann; and her siblings-in-law, Connie Sammelmann of Mexico, MO and Lee Fruechte of California. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
