We are sad to announce that, on October 23, 2020, at the age of 84, Joan M. Abeln of Saint Charles, Missouri, born in Saint Louis, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Schmitz and Josephine Schmitz. She is survived by: her husband Ray Abeln; her children, Lynn Abeln-Meyer (Steven), Timothy Abeln (Peggy), Michael Abeln (Michelle), Jeffrey Abeln (Lisa) and Christine Lindsey (Ron); and her siblings, Faith Pinter (Richard) and Guy Schmitz (Margaret). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, sisters-in-law, and loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joan's honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
