She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Tomc and Johanna Anzek; her stepfather Boyd Campbell; and her siblings, Franklin Tomc and Barbara Hotujac.
She is survived by: her husband Herman Woerndle (Rich); her sister Sandy Mihelic; her son Rick Woerndle (Cynthia) of Beaufort; her grandchildren, Grant Woerndle (Ally), Justin Woerndle, Garrett Woerndle, Glenn Needham (Jason), Jessica Mistretta (Bryan), Ryan Zeiss (Alison) and Mitchell Zeiss; and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Woerndle, Sloane Woerndle, Cooper Mistretta, Joanna Mistretta and Everett Zeiss.
In keeping with her lifelong commitment to helping others, JoAnn chose to donate her body to the St. Louis University Medical School so that she can continue her legacy of helping others learn.
