He was predeceased by: his parents, John E Lee and Dorothy Lee; his sisters, Diane Galusha (Jerry) and Mary Goughenour (Jack); and his children, Michelle, John Edward Lee III (Lori) and Rachel Rueve (Andrew).

He is survived by: his wife Laura; his siblings, Jim Williams (Colleen), Gary Lee, Kevin Lee (Patty), Eileen Daniels (Tim) and Maureen McVey (Jack); and his grandchildren, Kennedy, Rylee, Ava, Johnny, Morgan, Jake, Tristan and Zeke. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
