He was predeceased by: his wife Velma Viola Stack; his parents, Virginia Lee Brasher and James Roscoe Brasher; and his sisters, Virginia Poeppelemeir (Emil) and Marilyn Freise.
He is survived by: his children, June Hennessey (Dan), John R. Stack, Jr., James Stack and Judy Koenig (Tom); and his grandchildren, Daniel Hennessey (Cindy), Kelley Hennessey, Laurie Harter (Jeff), Michael Hennessey (Nikki), Erin Hennessey (Jake White), Christine DeMarco (Vincent), Jim Stack (Jane), Barbara Jean Stack, Jason Koenig (Ellie) and Jessica (Andrew Mack).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baue Funeral Home - St Charles (620 Jefferson St, St Charles, MO 63301). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 at the Oak Grove Cemetery (2700 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301).
