He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Astor Schooler, Sr. and Lela Mae Lamey Schooler; his sister Gertrude Brown Duckett; his brother-in-law Marcellus Duckett; his brother Melburn Brown; and his sister-in-law Beverlyn Brown.
He is survived by : his wife Sharon McCray Schooler; his siblings, Joyce Johnson (Clarance) of Tucson, Ariz., Waldon "Don" Brown of Topeka, Kan. and Walton "Ron" Brown (Jennifer) of Dallas, Texas; his stepsister Barbara A. Dempsey (Raymond) of Winfield, Kan.; his sisters-in-law, Joyce McCray Pearson (Mitchell Daniel) of Spanish Lake, Mary Ann Robison of Topeka and Judy Billings of Topeka, Kans.; his niece Lela Louise Garrett of Saint Peters; and his cousins, Janice Mills and Gayle Schooler Thomas of Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by twenty-nine nieces and nephews, a host of cherished great nieces and great nephews, and countless dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baue Funeral Home - Cave Springs (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. Even with the COVID-19 pandemic and his recent health concerns, he stayed in touch with his siblings and friends near and far by phone.
