He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Schoene and Geraldine Schoene. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Mark Schoene (Stacy), Lauren Zimmer (Kris), Michael Schoene (Linsey) and Meredith (Kyle); his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Riley, Austin, Harper, Maxwell, Oliver, Miles and Charlotte; and his sisters, Joyce Pohlman (Alan), Cathy Strittmater (Dave) and Christy (Mike).
