He was predeceased by: his father Walter; his stepmother Desma Bozikis-Kowalczyk; and his brother Jimmy. He is survived by: his mother Martha Sanguinet Kowalczyk; his wife Marci Jennings; his children, Kaitlyn Jennings (Kory Carlson) and James Kowalczyk; and his siblings, Rebecca Fulfs, Scott Thurmond (Sharon) and Mary Hollingsworth (Aaron).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Baue Funeral Home - St Charles (620 Jefferson St, St Charles, MO 63301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
