Marcella Pense wrote a sympathy message

“Norman's love for family history is what generated our connection. He had purchased THE GADDY TREE book written by my mother, Ruby Alice Gaddy Johnston McClelland. Turns out that they were distantly related through MO settlers in the Rolla area. My husband, Elmer, and I met Norman and LaVern in the St. Louis airport when we had a layover headed back home from vacation. I typed the book & it seemed he could almost recite it! He delighted in talking about the many, many relatives.”
