He was predeceased by: his parents, Obadiah Joshua Lewis, Sr. and Winnie Penquite Lewis; and his siblings, Evangeline Ward (Deceased) and Julius Clark Lewis, Sr. (Deceased). He is survived by: his wife Patty Rice Lewis; his children, Obadiah Joshua Lewis, III (Monica Smith) and Tamara Nicole Lewis-Newberry (Michael Newberry); his granddaughter Niana Monique Lewis; his siblings, Peggy Lewis LeCompte, Louella Lewis Hawkins, Money Lewis Guiden and Arnavell Flood; his siblings-in-law, Frances Rice Davis, Gail Rice Whitfield, Larry Rice and Ross Davis; his son Jay; his children-in-law, Monica and Michael; and his siblings-in-law, Henry Guiden, George Flood I and Josephine Cotton Lewis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
