She is survived by: her children, Mike Nixon and Noël Nixon; her grandchildren, Jesse Nixon (Liz), Samantha Nixon, Kaitlyn Nixon and Jace Yeager; her great grandchildren, Emma Nixon and Rosalee Nixon; and her siblings, Viola Esterline, Brenda Lampley, Donna Tremaine, Laverne Reynolds, Gwen Wideman and Stevie Kiper.
Memorials may be made in Ruth's name to American Diabetes Association.
