He was predeceased by: his parents, George Atwell and Virginia Atwell; and his sibling Thomas Atwell. He is survived by: his children, Jason Atwell (Patricia), Steven Atwell (Lauren), Christopher Atwell (Rebecca) and Melissa Atwell; his grandchildren, Jacob, Spencer, Sofia, Sawyer, Aiden, Liam, Willow, Jesse, Christopher, Jr., Marlee, Ellie and Cristian; his sisters, Louise Nihart, Mary Lou Atwell and Mary Ann Godwin; his sister-in-law Marla Atwell; his niece Jennifer Nihart; the mother of his children Connie Atwell; and his girlfriend Doris Smith.
