She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Monroe Reed and Cornelia Reed; her husband Robert Carey; her children, Michael Carey and Peggy Carey; her son-in-law Timothy Bye; her siblings, Leslie Reed, Clarence Reed, Gene Tunney Reed, Helen Ely and Laura Schleeper; and her grandson Lenny Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Bye of St. Clair, MO, William Carey (Lisa) of Theodosia, MO, Cathy Wright of St. Clair, MO, Patrick Carey (Pong Sai) of St. Clair, MO and Kelly Luxton (Mike) of St. Clair, MO. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
