With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gene Ray Hamer of Saint Clair, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 3, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hamer and Josephine Hamer; his son Barry; and his granddaughter Mynda Hamer. He is survived by: his wife Maryann; his sons, Robert (Crystal), Thomas (Caroline) and John (Beth); his grandchildren, Jane Buchanan (Jason), Robert Jr. Hamer (Sarah), Mike Hamer (Sherrie), Michelle Gardner (Reggie), Emily Augustine (Brian) and Sara Jo Hamer; his stepgrandson Nick Collias; his great grandchildren, Megan Ann Hamer, Gavin Merkel, Nakota Buchanan, Carys Merkel, Landin, Khloe Hamer, Jaxon, Aubrey Jo, Miles Hamer, Marlayna Rea, Alois and Isla Augustine; and his sister Eleanor Hammond. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.
