With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Ruth (Mayhall) Day of Saint Clair, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2026 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Odie Mayhall and Velma Mayhall; her husband Robert Purcell; her siblings, Rober Mahall, Ferrell Mayhall, Buddy Mayhall and Sue Larkins; and her grandson Robert Purcell.

She is survived by: her children, Robert, Gina Devine (James) of Maplewood, MO and Phillip Purcell of Lonedell, MO; her siblings, Barbara Summers and Edward Mayhall (Ricki); and her grandchildren, Matthew Purcell, Stephanie Major, Pricilla Kelley, Lisa Devine, Jill Devine, Christopher Devine (Jennifer), Jacqui Williams (Alex), Justin Gaither (Tracy), Travis Gaither and Grant Gaither. She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; by two great-great-grandchildren; by nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
