We are sad to announce that on May 11, 2025, at the age of 90, Lawrence E. Byrd (Saint James, Missouri) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lawrence E. Byrd to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Edward Byrd Sr. and Mayme Elizabeth Byrd (Stricker); his wife Geraldine Alyce Pilger; his daughter Patricia Ann (Byrd); his siblings, Doris Bohrer (Bill), Shirley Taber (Corky), Marilyn Sue Manion (Byrd), William "Bill" Byrd (Myrna), Charlie Byrd and Raymond Byrd; and his great-nephew Tristan Quisenberry.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Byrd (Kathy) of Hoquiam, Washington, Linda Byrd of St. James and Susan Mitchell (Gerry) of St. James, Missouri; his son-in-law Jan; his sister Barbara Warner (Bohrer) of St. James, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Shannon, Steven, Shawn, Sharon, Sarah, Vanessa, Nadia, Gerry and Collin. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home Assistance League – St. James.
