In loving memory of Lucy Josephine Gabel of Saint James, Missouri, who departed this world on September 5, 2025 at the age of 94. Lucy leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Black and Ona Black (Freeman); her foster parents, Wilford Mace and Laura Mace; her grandson Skyler Gabel; her son-in-law Ed Davis; her granddaughter-in-law Hannah McDowell; and her brothers, Clyde, Charlie, Thurman, Bill and Carl Black.
She is survived by: her husband Lavern Gabel; her children, Jane Davis of St. James, MO and Paul Gabel of Houston, MO; and her granddaughters, Amanda Stirling (John) of Volga, SD and Andrea Moshier (Derek). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren; a host of extended family.
