He was predeceased by: his parents, Rainey P. Moreland and Arminta Matilda "Tillie" Moreland (Branstetter); and his son Ryan Moreland. He is survived by: his son Shannon Moreland; his daughter-in-law Emily; his grandchildren, Savannah Lea Matilda Moreland and Michael James Paxton Moreland; his brother Keith Moreland; and his sister-in-law Jill. He is also survived by his nieces, cousins and a multitude of friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (200 N Meramec St, St James, MO 65559). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery.
