Peggy L. Hampton Obituary
We announce the death of Peggy L. Hampton of Saint James, Missouri, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 89. Peggy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Sewell (Denton) and Eugene Jones; her husband James Hampton; and her siblings, Sonny Jones and Vickie Dawson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Roxana Gray (Mark), Lori Terstriep (Greg) of Bourbon and Jamie Jones (Robert) of St. James, Missouri.; and her grandchildren, Joshua Gray (Lauren), Deidra Brinker (Eric), Amanda Lindermann (Adam), Abbey Barker (James), Gracie Jones and Leah Johnson. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (200 S Meramec St, St James, MO 65559). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge at the First Assembly of God- Rolla.
