We announce the death of Terry Jean Campbell of Saint James, Missouri, who passed away on October 20, 2026, at the age of 74. Terry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Oscar Jr. Hoffmeister; her grandparents, Oscar Sr. and Maude Hoffmeister (Keeney); her grandson Noah Terrill; her aunt Jackie Scego; her uncles, Adrian Scego, Richard Wirz and Hershel Lee Hoffmeister; her siblings-in-law, Nancy Spurgeon, Lucille Campbell, Don Spurgeon and Jack Shafferkoetter; Harry and Anna Campbell (Finney).
She is survived by: her parent Jean Hoffmeister (Wirz); her husband Dave Campbell Sr. of St. James, Missouri; her children, Christy Campbell of Columbia, Missouri, Heather Bouse (Cary) of Vichy, Missouri, Dave Campbell Jr. of St. James, Missouri and Beth McWhorter (Grant) of St. James, Missouri.; her grandchildren, Dakota Skouby, Hayley Auxier (Alex), Bailey Terrill, Mackenzie Portell (Tristin Brown), Macy Dixon (Tanner), Annie Terrill, Wilson McDaniel, Reese Seitz, Avery Campbell, Brooklyn Bouse, Elsie Campbell and Amos Campbell; her great grandchildren, Evelyn Skouby, Finn Auxier, Dani Brown, Lennox Auxier and Hayes Brown; her in-laws, Pat Shafferkoetter, Mike Campbell (Rosemary), Gary Campbell, Fannie Lea (Joe) and Steve Campbell (Christine); her aunt Barb Wirz; and her uncle Ralph Wirz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home (200 S Meramec St, St James, MO 65559). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at the Oak Grove Cemetery (20370 Co Rd 1400, St James, MO 65559).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Memorials may be made at the funeral home or at St. Jude's website (https://www.stjude.org).
