He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L'Vere Thelkeld and Helen Eugene Thelkeld Shrum (Lowe); his brothers, Rocky Shrum (Pat) of Hannibal and Jasper Shrum Jr.; his brother-in-law Cole Ponder; and his great grandchild Kai Smith.
He is survived by: his children, William E. Shrum Sr. (Tina) and Lisa Michele Shrum (Smith); his grandchildren, Ethan Shrum, Joseph Shrum, Nikki Lynn Shrum (Cody), Keifer Wayne Smith (DeAzhane) and Makenna Hope Smith (Anthony); and his great grandchildren, Remington, Keighan, Brileigh, Asher, Kynslee, Audriana and Keifer Jr. (Kolson).
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home (200 N Meramec St, St James, MO 65559). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Patriot Guard Riders.
