She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathanial H. Dowell and Nola Lee Dowell (Brown); her husband Frank Joseph Ockenfels; and her siblings, Donald L. Dowell, Richard L. Dowell, Nathanial "Junior" Dowell, Pauline Marchbanks (Dowell) and Bessie Pitts (Dowell).
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Ockenfels (Tracy) of Kirksville and David Ockenfels (Angie Grimm) of St. Joseph, Missouri; her grandchildren, Tanner Ockenfels (Shelby) of St. Joseph, Aaron Ockenfels (Kelsey) of Kirksville, Alexander Ockenfels of Kirksville and Allie Grimm of St. Joseph, Missouri; and her brothers, James Dowell (Lora) of Chillicothe and Bruce Dowell (Betty) of Kansas City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
