He was predeceased by: his mother Agnes Meyer (Pieper); his wife Katherine Donahue; his parent August; and his siblings, Jerome, Raymond, Teresa and Edward.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Meyer (Linda) of Kansas City, Geri Frink (Dwain) of Independence, Bernie Meyer (Jaime) of St. Joseph, Debra Strahm (Alvin) of St. Joseph and Crystal Gaitan (Philip) of Cibolo, Texas; his siblings, Mary, Agnes, Leona, Trudy, Helen, Lois, Donna, Julie and Gary; and his grandchildren, Monica, Amber, Danielle, Adam, Jennifer, Barbara, Bernie, Mary, Katie, Cathie, Chelsea, Craig and Andrew (Eva). He is also survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to St. Francis Xavier Church of St. Joseph.
