She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Ellen (Brady), Harry Jones, Virginia (Willis) and Leslie Marriott; and her grandson Bradon Krull.

She is survived by: her parents, Carol Marriott (Jones) and Roger Marriott; her husband Jerry E. Carter; her brothers, Scott (Dawn) and Chris (Brenda); her children, Lauren Manning (Dylan) and Nick Grable; her nieces, Lexie Marriott, Brea Marriott and Emily Marriott; and her grandchildren, Miles Manning, Gannon Roster, Greysen Dudley (Cory), Griffin Roster, Sienna Krull, Sophie Krull and Sayler Nigh.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Joseph, MO at 701 Lower Lake Road, St. Joseph, MO 64504.
