She was predeceased by: her parents, John Owens and Nora Owens (Johnson); her husband Vernon "Hoot" McDowell; and her brothers, Robert Owens (Mary Lou) and Bill Owens (Coni).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Ward, Steve Bell (Denise), Kristin Miller (Bob) and R. Gary McDowell (Paula, family: David, Brian, Michael McDowell). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 12 great-great Grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
