She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazel Myers and Harvey Myers; her sons, Kevin Chavez and Brian Chavez; and her siblings, Sharron Melton, Larry Myers, Harvey Myers Jr., Charles Myers, Roger Myers, Sheldon Myers, Billy Myers, Mona Davidson, Betty Tebow and Ruth Myers.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Chavez; her children, Fred Chavez (Jean) of St. Joseph, Paula Beattie (Travis) of St. Joseph and Vonda Perman (Eddie) of Troy, KS; and her siblings, Bob Myers (Delaine) of Carrollton, MO, Michael Myers (Vicki) of St. Joseph and Ellen Creager of Chillicothe, MO. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
