He was predeceased by: his parents, Jaudon Chatfield and Georgia Chatfield (Baker); and his brother Earl. He is survived by: his wife Rita Peterson; his children, Judith Dykes, Deborah Chatfield (Dan Mason), Nancy Meers (Randy) and Charles Chatfield (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, J. C. Dykes, Sydney Meers, Whitney Meers, Isaac Chatfield, Matthew Mason, Isabella Chatfield and Ivan Chatfield.
