She is survived by: her husband Alvan Ellis; her children, Matthew Ellis (Tabatha), Sarah Vernet (Gavin) and Jennifer Ellis; her granddaughter Jayden Ellis; her pets, Bud and Tiger; and her siblings, Cheryl Bullock, Theresa Montgomery and Ricky Adkins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel (3609 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506).
In lieu of floral arrangements the family suggests that memorials be directed to Whisker's Cat Cafe in Kansas City in loving memory of Deborah D. Ellis.
