Delmar Clemens Holtz Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 28, 2023, at the age of 92, Delmar Clemens Holtz of Saint Joseph, Missouri, born in West Point, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. S. P. Holtz and Elinor Catherine Holtz (Winnike); his siblings, Lester Holtz, Rozella Freitag, Imelda Groene, Carl Holtz and Lucy Vonderhaar; and his brothers-in-law, Alve Freitag, Jim Groene and Don Vonderhaar.
He is survived by: his former wife Vera Coyle; his children, Jo Ann Neilson (Bill) of Davenport, John Holtz (Diane) of St. Joseph, Becky Holtz of Cedar Rapids and Karen Simmons (Glenn) of Anderson; his grandchildren, Kevin Neilson, Kim Sonnenberg (Dave), Brandon Holtz (Emily), Garrett Holtz (Maureen), Cass Holtz (Tami Davis), Morgan Holtz, Alyssa Krebs (Michael), Alex Holverson, Blake Simmons, Cory Simmons and Jacob Simmons; his sister-in-law Rita Holtz; and his girlfriend Dolores "Dot" Cassidy. He is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
