Delores Mae Claycomb Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delores Mae Claycomb of Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Delores leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Esther (Powers) and Loyd Simpson Sr. Delores; her husband Jay Claycomb; and her siblings, Loyd Simpson II and Mary Wilcoxson.
She is survived by: her sons, Larry Claycomb (Treasa) of St. Joseph, Richard Claycomb (Tami) of Agency, MO and Scott Claycomb (Shirley) of St. Joseph; and her sister Marty Winder (William) of St. Joseph. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rupp Funeral Home (6054 Pryor Ave, St Joseph, MO 64504).
Memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association.
