He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hart and Laura M. Hart (Bryson); and his brother Jack Hart. He is survived by: his wife Faye Alliene Gardner; his daughter Deborah Meers (Thomas); his grandchildren, Cory Whipple, Libby Taff, Lacey Meers and Ben Meers; and his great grandchildren, Lucy Whipple, Gus Whipple and Mateo Lopez.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
