We are sad to announce that on July 31, 2025, at the age of 95, Donald Emmett Sklenar D. (Saint Joseph, Missouri) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Donald may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Sklenar and Mary Sklenar (Rickley); his sisters, Norma Bryson and Joyce Robken; and his nephew Ronnie Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Sklenar and Susan Williams (Craig); and his granddaughter Hannah Williams.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel (3609 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers/plants the family suggests memorial donations to the Cameron Missouri Veterans Home.
