It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Payne of Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Miles and Gladys Irene Cornell (Hoyt); her husband Jack; and her sister Sarah "Betty" Waugh. She is survived by: her children, Donald Payne (Judy), Jacquelyn Iverson (Dennis), Dennis Payne (Tammy) and Jean Payne-Hughes; and her grandchildren, Cody Payne, Dustin Payne, Jason Iverson, Alisha Payne and Jacob Payne.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the 17th St. Congregation of Community of Christ in St. Joseph.
