He was predeceased by: his parents, Dollie McGuire (Gilbert) and Ivan McGuire; and his sisters, Susan Zirkle, Mattie May McGuire and Joyce Ellen McGuire.
He is survived by: his children, Ellis McGuire Jr. of St. Joseph, Terry McGuire of Clarksdale, MO, Mike McGuire (Stacy) of Braymer, MO, Patrick McGuire of Sedalia, MO, Holly Miller of Bolivar, MO and Jennifer Miller; his sisters, Clover Watkins (John) of Independence, MO and Ellen DeShon (Harold) of Clarksdale, MO; and his close friend Marilyn McConnell. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials are requested to the St. Joseph Firefighters Local 77.
